****Make-A-Wish****

Standard

Well we are one month in and back on the schedule.. I’m not gonna lie it has definitely taken some adjusting and the sad part is I was the one that had a harder time than Savannah… I couldn’t keep my gymnastics times and swim times straight lol..  So Mercy showed up at gymnastics and hour late and we had to do a make up.. Way to go mama.. But that’s all behind me now.. I just updated to the new Google’s Calendar Plus 5 and I am ready to go!!  It’s my favorite app as of today.. Well that and the You Version app.  One keeps me on time and the other reminds me where I am going..

Savannah is doing awesome this year and I love her teachers Miss Robyn & Miss Lynn.  So far they seem to love her too. Miss Lynn always thinks “she say’s the funniest things” and “loves her dresses” and they both think she smells good (thanks Amazing Grace Lotion).  Oh and I was asked to be Room Mom along with Hannah (hudson’s mom).. She’s such a sweet mama I am so looking forward to this experience with her.

On another note.  I was recently asked by Make-A-Wish to be a wish society Honoree.  I was beyond humbled and thrilled to be a part of this inaugural event.  The Make-A-Wish of Western and Central North Carolina will be recognizing 30 local women in the area for the Philanthropic and Professional successes.  I certainly don’t have a lot of letter’s after my name as a matter of fact the only one I have is SAHM.. So not sure why I was lucky enough to be included in this group of amazing women but I sure am glad.

The whole goal behind this event is to raise money to grant a wish.  The average wish cost $6000 and my goal is to grant as many as I can.  If you have never experienced what it’s like to see someone’s wish granted take a look at this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jsFZxQ4mfLM Or read this mom’s story http://asperkids.com/the-story-of-a-wish/ This will help you understand why I am working so hard to make this happen.  Why I bug all my friends and strangers to help me make this happen.  To see the look on the kid’s faces and to feel the impact it has on the family it is worth every email, letter and phone call.  Please take a minute to read more about what I am doing and if you feel so inclined to help me grant a wish you may do so on my page at http://ncwishsociety.kintera.org/faf/donorReg/donorPledge.asp?ievent=1074258&lis=1&kntae1074258=F01B9901639F44368A30CD647305FFB3&supId=349771544  AND if you can get me a Corporate sponosor I’d love ya for ever lol..

I will leave with one last Savannah Funny of the day..

“Mama do you have nationwide on your side?”

Have a happy night.

“My daddy works so I can have an easy life”

Standard

As this 2nd week of school comes to an end we are finally getting into the swing of things..  We were on time today but mommy forgot the folder for class so I had to turn around and go back and get it.. UGH the folder is important because if you don’t have your folder you don’t get a stamp if you have a good day.  If you miss a stamp then that’s one more day you will NOT get to draw out of the “treasure box”..  Trust me it’s important..

So no yoga for me today.. Seems like when I mess up my routine I can’t get in the groove.. The rest of the day was spent working on my Make-A-Wish campaign… So far I have raised $8441.00 Trying to grant 2 wishes and almost there!!!  here is a link to my page if you would like to donate or wanna read about what I am doing!!  Please share!!!

Anyhoo picked Savannah up from school today and was getting ready to leave and Miss Lynn said ” I have to tell you what she said today”.. I was think oh lord this could be good or bad…  she said ” My daddy works so I can have an easy life”…  Jeff is forever telling her this when she ask him where he’s going in the morning and I guess it has finally sunk in..  We really have to watch what we say around her..

Today was our first day back to Gymnastics and Savannah did awesome!!!  I was so proud of her.. she was a good listener and she even climb the rope.. When she was at camp over the summer she would not touch that rope.. “No mommy that’s to high” and today she shocked me.. First time up she grab that rope and climbed up.. Hopefully it will be a fun year for her!

A good time was had by all!!  She loves having all her friends over and we were so happy everyone shared in this special day!!

Another something special happened on that day too.. Savannah tied her paci to her balloons and let it go to heaven to be with all the babies who need them.  This is the last thing she has held onto that really needed to go.  She was such a big girl.  I was so proud of her. This was a very tough time for her. The paci has been her source of comfort for 4 years but she knew it was time to let it go and kept telling me she was going to do it when she turned 4 and she was true to her word.  The first attempt was a fail but we tied a few more balloons to it and off it went.

Of course it helped there was a pile of presents waiting for her when she let it go.  Nice trade-off don’t cha think..

The end to a great birthday

Later that night when it was time to go to bed she was sad and cried ” mommy I miss my paci” and I told her it was ok to miss her paci and she responded with ” I don’t want to be 4 anymore”…  After a few rough nights she has not looked back!!

Last Day of Preschool 2013

Standard

Wow I can’t believe the end of the school year is here.. It has been so great.. Ms. Kelly & Ms. Holly have truly been a blessing to have as Savannah’s teachers.. She has grown so much over the past year.  Looking forward to moving ahead but kinda sad to leave them behind. I think Savannah is kinda sad too.

Miller Street Recital 2013

Standard

Crazy busy week and of course there has to be a recital thrown in there too.  Savannah‘s dance class at Miller Street has come to an end this week too.  So sad all the endings but looking forward to new beginnings.  And at the end of every dance class is a Recital and Savannah’s was tonight.    She doesn’t love her dance class but she LOVES being on the stage so needless to say she was excited.

I have a short clip from her rehearsal

We got to the recital just in time so I thought.. Unfortunately mommy got the times wrong and we barely made the show.  Mommy & Nini made it but Daddy, Cindy, Mimi, Uncle Steve, Justin, Jordan, Ashley, Mark, Maria & Mercy missed it.  But I want her to know they came.  I felt awful..  Mommy will be double checking the schedule next time!

Standard

Wow.. I can’t believe the end of the school year is already here.. It has been an amazing year. Savannah has had to of the most awesome teachers and we are sad to be leaving them.. I sure hope the teachers she has next year can live up to our expectations. Ms. Kelly & Ms. Holly has set the bar high.  Today the kid’s celebrated their year by have a party.  It was supposed to be a water park party but alas the weather had other plans for us.  We stayed in the gym and I don’t think they minded one bit.
