Well that time has come again to celebrate the princess’s birthday!! I can’t believe she is three.. When they say time flies they are not kidding. I can still remember that first week when I brought her home and have never been more overwhelmed in my life. I have never been so exhausted in my life. I finally broke down and called my great friend Lisa to come down and sit with her while I slept and I thought to myself. I’m not going to make it. And look at me now planning birthday parties, room mom, wife, step-mom.. wow I’ve come a long way baby..lol
So we are lucky enough to have my god-daughter Ella born just 2 days after Savannah I cannot wait to see the bond they will share. I hope they grow to be great friends. Anyway having them so close together we have to make sure that we plan our birthday’s on different day’s so that we both can attend each other’s. After looking over all my day’s I decided to have it on the same day as her recital. Yes crazy I know. But she is only going to be on stage for 15min at noon and the party isn’t till 4 and I have AWESOME friends that will help me set everything up.
So June 9th it was. Savannah LOVES some Dora so naturally I had a Dora themed pool party and invited all her friends. Going with the Dora theme I had QDoba cater and purchased 200 nuggets from chick-fil-a for the kids that don’t eat mexican.
It was perfect. I ordered the cake from Decadent Designs and they did an awesome job as usual.
We had a great turn out and I think everyone had an awesome time. Everyone swam, ate and by the time they left were ready for bed!
It was a great day! I am so blessed and grateful for the beautiful, kind child that God has given us. And I am truly grateful for all the kind wonderful friends that we have that surround us everyday. Life is very good.
