This was the question I was asked by my 2 1/2-year-old yesterday thru her historical tears. And the answer was NO I was not happy. Tuesday started out to be a good day. Got up early got ready for bible study and to take Savannah to pre-school. We had a good morning she was happy to go to school it was going to be a great day! After dropping her off at school I headed to bible study. Today was my day to lead. Now why I volunteered for this I do not know. Well I do know. I am trying to step out of my comfort zone and do something I am not comfortable doing. Speaking in front of people is NOT something I do well or really enjoy. Unless of course we are talking about kids then I’m right in there. But leading the conversation ugh not my strong point. So off to bible study I went and it went ok. I think I should have prepared better but that’s the thing I really didn’t know how to prepare for this. So I just kinda winged it. Maybe I will get better with time. So after that was done I headed to pick up priss. She had a great day at pre-school so I thought it would be a good idea to stop at the park on the way out and let her play for a little while before nap. What better way to kill and hour. So I called my friend Heather, whose son Adam goes to pre-school with Savannah and they also share a swim class together, and told her we would be hanging out if they wanted to stop by and they did. It started out great and it seemed that everyone else had the same idea we did because the playground became full quickly . Savannah was playing having a good time then someone brings candy and that is what the whole focus becomes and if it wasn’t that it was wanting to do something someone else was doing. Typical 2-year-old. So needless to say we left. Kicking and screaming. UGH. Yes I had THAT child. Lord help me. I got her in the car and tried to explain to her that when she acts this way she will have to leave. Mommy doesn’t play that. lol. She cried all the way home. At one point she screamed so loud I was in shock.. She had NEVER done this before. So I turned up the radio and practiced my yoga breathing. I knew that yoga would come in handy. So we got home and she went straight to bed. And she was out like a light. So the lesson learned here was no more play ground after pre-school. So after nap she wanted to go to the play ground again and being the good mommy that I am we headed out. She was a little better this time and on the way home I called daddy to see what time he would be home because mommy definitely needed a break. He met me at the house and he and Savannah took off to have dinner and see his parents. I sat at home and stalked my local obsession Matilda Jane website to see if they would be releasing anything new and made Valentine cards for Savannah’s Class.
Wow.. Great weekend with great friends.. Friday night Savannah and I had dinner with daddy at Upstream.. One of our favorite restaurants in town. She did awesome!! Even though it took a little longer for our food to which at one point she replied “where are my chicken fingers” it turned out to be a great dinner.
Saturday morning was the start of Habit 21. It is a program that my yoga studio does every so often. You buy a package of 6 weeks unlimited yoga and try to go 21 times within that period and you next package is 50% off. The thought behind it is it takes 21days to start a habit. So by the end you will form the habit of Yoga. I have 2 days in so far! Nini came and hung out with Savannah and they had a great time!! The first class also has live drumming and it was awesome!! After yoga I headed to Tiffany’s to watch her mom practice on some up do’s for her wedding. It was great to spend some time with Tiff.. Love her. After our visit it was off to date night with daddy. Miss Lindsay came over and hung out with Savannah and we went to Del Frisco’ s for appetizers and drinks. Being the big party animals that we are we didn’t get home till 9:30..lol
Sunday was a LAZY day. Hung around the house made some food for the Super Bowl and all the neighbors walked over and it was a great night. Congrats to the Giants!!
Today was Great! Yoga in the am Mercy came we took Savannah to Dance class and she did awesome!! Miss Lacey came out and told us that she is really catching on and doing a great job Yay Savannah!! Then we were headed back to the house and Savannah said Mommy may I please have Chick-Fil-A? now how could I say no to that.. So we headed to Chick-Fil-A for lunch.. After lunch I spent WAY too much time trying to get my computer connected to our wireless printer. It was connected then something happened and now it is not connected. I have many choice words I would like to use but I digress.
Let’s see what tomorrow holds.
wow.. What a busy week.. I am feeling a little over whelmed.. Thank goodness for task manager or I wouldn’t get anything done. I can’t remember it all then I get side tracked.. ugh..
Beautiful day today.. Savannah was off to pre-school mommy off to yoga.. Baby Macon had his surgery today and it went great!! Everyone at the Franck house is still sick (hope we didn’t give it to them) Savannah still has a cough she can’t shake but all in all we are great!!
No accidents at school today and tonight when I was rocking her before bed (yes I still rock her one day I won’t be able to) she said “Mommy I need to go pee pee) so at first I am thinking stall tactic. So she doesn’t have to go to bed. But I got up to her to the potty and she went and promptly said “mommy I want some candy” that’s my bribe to get her to go potty. But it didn’t work this time. So after I told her no candy she said ” Mommy I want to get my big girl panties” ut oh.. Ok… So we went and put them on. This will be our first night sleeping in our big girl undies say a prayer. She always makes it thru the night hopefully tonight she will do the same.. YAY.. I think we are turning a corner. Go Savannah!!
Mommy is extremely tired so this post is short. night.
It has been a GREAT week!! It is so nice to be back on schedule.. Savannah still has a little cough but no fever or runny nose yay… She went back to school on Tuesday and she was SUPER excited to see her friends and teachers. When we were walking into the building she said “mommy i’m so happy”. How awesome that!! I think back to the first month of pre-school when she cried going in and cried coming out. Boy we have come a long way.
It was back to bible study for me. We have 2 new ladies that have joined our group and I am so excited to have them. Miss Trisha led our group this week and she did an awesome job. It’s my turn next week .. say a prayer.. I don’t do to well at things like this so I’m going to need it. Very nervous.
After I picked Savannah up from pre-school we headed home. Did I mention that she has worn her big girl undies to school the last 3 weeks with no accidents.. I probably just jinxed myself but I’m so proud of her. She did have a little accident last night and pee pee”d on daddy while they were watching tv..hahhaa sorry it was funny.. Hey she was comfortable and watching Dora I understand.lol
Wednesday was awesome!! Got up went to yoga and Miss Brooke had an amazing class. Really got my day started off right. Then it was back to the house and off to swim class. Savannah is coming right along in her class she did great today. She’s so funny all the little songs they sing she has to sing too.. At the top of her lungs.. haha. ONE LITTLE SPECKELED FROG SITTIN ON A HOLLOW LOG EATING SOME MOST DELICIOUS BUGS YUM YUM SAVANNAH JUMPS INTO THE POOL WHERE IT IS NICE AND COOL..Then they leave the side of the pool and swim to mommy with help from Mr. Stewart. It’s great!!
Savannah LOVES to sing and her all time favorite song is Forget You by CeLo Green (the glee version). I have heard this song 15,0000 times. I am not kidding and every time we get in the car she say’s “Can I hear why babe mom”? She calls the song Why Babe because Gwyneth Paltrow sings WHY WHY WHY baby baby in the middle of the song so she thinks that is the name of it. So not only does she want to hear it every time we get in the car she wants to hear it loud.. “can you turn the volume up”? 2 1/2 and she likes it loud. Just like mommy…lol I will add a clip later of her singing.
Here’s the clip:
All in all it’s been a great week so far. She did awesome in Dance, Pre-school & swim class. Hope the week continues on this path!
